Welcome to Marbury's Guidance Department

The mission of the guidance department at Marbury High School is to provide effective counseling to ALL students in academic advising, career/college planning, and personal/social counseling.  I encourage parents and students to utilize this web page to find information regarding various guidance programs, scholarships, and the many happening around MHS.  Students who need to speak with the counselor can make an appointment to see Mrs. Hicks at any time, or just drop by my office.  Parents who wish to speak with the counselor are encourage to call the school office to set up an appointment (334) 387-1910 or email her directly at kimberley.hicks@acboe.net.

 ATTENTION ALL 10th GRADERS:

The 2012-2013 Youth Leadership Autauga County are now accepting application.  The Youth Leadership Autauga County is sponsored by Leadership Autauga County and was organized in order to develop a diverse group of high school juniors within Autauga County, allowing them to voice their concerns for the improvement of the County.

If you are interested in applying for Youth Leadership Autauga County, please see Mrs. Hicks in the Guidance Office to pick an application.  Deadline for the applications is Friday, April 5, 2013.  Applications should be returned into the Don M. Smith YMCA front desk or mailed to the Don M. Smith YMCA.

TRANSCRIPTS:

The school will furnish the transcript(s) only upon written request.  Students who are transferring from MHS to another high school will not pay a fee for the processing of records. Students in the last and present graduation class will not be charged for their transcripts.  However,  all other transcript requests will require a fee of $5 per copy, which must be paid prior to sending this record.    

Official transcripts must be mailed and will not be given to the student for hand delivery.  Unofficial transcripts will be marked as such and may be given to the individual.  "Transcript Request Form" can be found outside the guidance counselors office.  If you are unable to get the "Transcript Request Form" from the school, you can download it in the FORMS section of this website. 

ACT TEST CENTERS

• JUNIORS AND SOPHOMORES NEED TO BE SCHEDULING THEIR TEST!!!!!!!!!!!
• Juniors who think they potentially could receive collegiate interest need to take the test ASAP!!!!
• Sophomores may schedule a date later on in the year.
