Ms. Melissa Beeson is a 2003 graduate of Prattville High School. She graduated with an advanced honors diploma and was involved in various clubs and organizations throughout her high school career including marching and concert bands(colorguard and clarinet), Girl's Show Choir (Sparkle), Beta Club, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and Fellowship of Christian Students. Outside of school, Ms. Beeson took piano lessons and was heavily involved in her church youth group and youth choir. Every summer from 7th grade until she graduated high school, Ms. Beeson was able to travel on choir tour to various places in the United States. She enjoyed those trips very much!

Ms. Beeson then went on to Auburn University where,  in May of 2007,  she earned her bachelor's degree in General Secondary Social Science Education with Cum Laude honors. She was also involved in various clubs and organizations while attending Auburn including being a part of the Auburn University Marching Band (clarinet), National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Kappa Delta Pi (Educational Honor Society), and Tau Beta Sigma (Service sorority for collegiate bands).

From August 2007 to May of 2012, Ms. Beeson taught 7th and 8th grade Geography, Civics, and Early World History at Prattville Junior High School. She was also Beta Club co-sponsor and Yearbook sponsor during her five year tenure at PJHS.

In May of 2012, she completed her Master's degree in School Library Media from the University of West Alabama with a GPA of a 4.0. The 2020-2021 school year will be Ms. Beeson's 14th school year as a professional educator- ninth year as a Media Specialist and yearbook sponsor, and seventh year as technology coordinator at Marbury High School. She loves working with the students and is excited about her job!

Whenever Ms. Beeson is not working, she enjoys learning to cook, playing with her two dogs, visiting with her friends and family, playing the piano, watching Auburn football (WAR EAGLE!), attending church in Prattville where she grew up, and exploring different historical and interesting places, just to name a few things.

Please feel free to email her if you have any questions regarding the media center or yearbook.
